The description says it loads fast. I'm wondering what their definition of fast is. I've been using 9gag for years and it used to be way better. Never had issues with it until recently. Now it takes forever to open the app. The app constantly freezes and if I try to restart it too soon after force closing, it refuses to load. Scrolling is slow and clunky, sometimes waiting seconds before jumping to where my scrolling wouldve ended. This mostly happens after backing out of the comment section. I've seen others complain about the same issues. My time spent on that has seriously decreased since these issues started. I don't want to stop using it but may have to find another app to switch to if this doesn't get fixed.

Been a 9Gag'er for years now and have always enjoyed the content. But recently the app has become almost unusable. Constant freezing and crashing. Don't know if it's an Android 10 issue or a recent app update issue, but it's something the developers really need to look into, as I see I'm not the only one with the same problem...

Ok so 9gag itself has been great and the app is pretty well made. I think the whole "pro" thing is a bit ridiculous but whatever. But here's my major complaint. Recently 9gag started running an add on the bottom banner of the window for some kind of fish game. This is the first ad that runs sound at all times if your volume is on. It plays bubble sounds during videos with sound, making the audio unrecognizable. Worst ad ever, I'll stop using this app because of this ad. Incredibly annoying!

I've been using this app for years, but recently ads have started playing audio even when all audio features are turned off. This is becoming a huge problem, and this really needs to be fixed. Update. It's still happening. For dev information, it seems to always be EXP Realty ads. Update. Still happening with EXP Realtor ads. 6/2/22: this time it was 1stClass Real Estate. 6/12/22: This time it was a STEM ad. But exactly the same music.

The app has just continually gone downhill. Ads, so many ads! They have them at the bottom of the pages. They have them between every other post. They even have ads for their own content, while I'm currently browsing it. The ads load and the content doesn't. Sure they have a pro mode you can pay for. But there are plenty of other places I can find stuff to laugh at without all the filler. The load times can get ridiculous, videos play on repeat even if they aren't on the screen, but the ads and the random pop ups work just fine. They also ask for a rating so frequently that it's pretty much spam. Every update I hope for something to be better, but it just seems to get worse.

I have been using this app for years. Lately, the app keeps crashing within seconds of scrolling the page. The page will fidget up and down for a few seconds then close itself. For now, i have uninstalled the app from my phone. EDIT: an alternative to this app is to open 9GAG with your browser and save it to your home screen. I have no issue accessing 9GAG through browser.

Frequent and consistent problems loading content. I've used 9gag regularly for years and it was good until about a year ago when it started having serious loading problems. Now I'm lucky if literally ANYTHING other than the black background screen loads and if it does, it only lasts for a few minutes; GIFs are just out of the question. Not sure what changed but I ended up having to delete my app because it was useless. Shame.

It's so laggy and it crashes CONSTANTLY. I absolutely love the app's content but I can't scroll for more than a couple minutes without it crashing, force closing and having to try to open it 2-5 times before it works again. Sometimes it crashes my entire phone and it changes my background image to a default which is mad annoying. A ton of reviews have similar problems. I've been on 9gag forever and it's just getting worse and worse. It updates so often you'd think you'd get it together

This used to be a great app. now because of the ads, it crashes all the time. was running fine till about a year ago. now it's just a matter of time before i delete it. been a member for 2013. additional: 2/19/19 now the ads activate even if you don't touch them while scrolling. also while you're watching a gif or video, ads will pop up between posts, pushing whatever your watching off screen which starts the video or gif over. been nice knowing ya 9gag, way to go to the dogs.

App was fine in the beginning. Then ads started popping up more and more. It wasn't that much of an issue for me until the ads started causing the ap to crash when trying to load them. Still it was something I could overlook until now there are ads WITH sound that plays even if the ad isn't on screen which means any post with sound is completely interrupted and overshadowed thanks to the ads sound that's louder than the post. Not buying premium because it's not worth it
