It's geat and is one of the apps I always wish I could find easily. You can hide apps, lock apps with a passcode and everything. It also let's you clean out items that you don't want. However as a heads up, it does run on adds I feel like because there are so many adds as you move around. I wish it would lessen or add a paid option or something. But otherwise it's great
have been using this app for a year and it is literally the best (trust me) it's easy and simple and my phone never looked more aesthetic lol. I Love the new update with the call editing screen. I was wondering if you guys could make a messaging app editor. to change how text looks. like the text bubbles and color and background.
I am enjoying discovering all the different applications of APUS. So far pretty good. I like the different themes and wall paper. My only suggestion is the ads come up and cover my window while I am watching a movie or playing a game. This could use an adustment to zero ads, or have a way to minimize ads. I Iike the cleaner apps for android. Good first impression and first experience.
The app is great its just I have one small problem, when I reset/power off my phone and power it back on, all the apps I leave in folders end up being all over the place also end up on the home screen too. I have to repeatedly put them back in each and every folder each time, its very annoying. Hopefully theres some way you can fix this.
It's a relatively smooth experience, device dependent. Downloaded this launcher to an old Lenovo tablet from around 2014. This launcher works well on the old device, only hang up is transitioning to lock screen lags for 3-6 seconds. Consider looking into it. I love the base theme. The base theme loads well and looks sleek. 4.5 from me! The .5 would go towards refining both home and lock screen transitions as well as performance when it comes to registering home screen editing or changes faster.
I was a fan of the Vire launcher. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to exist anymore once I got a new phone. So I started looking for something similar and APUS seems to have nailed it with enough customization to make me happy, but not such a learning curve that one feels overwhelmed. It would be nice to have a paid version to get rid of ads, but they don't seem too obnoxious in normal use.
It's a good launcher. I've been using it for about a year and a half now. But all of a sudden, the ads have become frequent and in your face, otherwise always interrupting my experience. Furthermore, because of how intrusive they are, some of them have completely closed down my apps, when I pull up all the open apps screen to see everything I currently have open. I'm thinking about changing launchers completely now, unless this gets fixed. At least the ads were subtle before.
Where's the option to pay to remove ads?? No, I don't want random invasive full screen ads from every random app. Trial with ads is fine, but there's no paid option, making this app very predatory. Other issues: no dark mode in the settings menu. You can't swipe down to hide app drawer for some reason. Very limited settings, where folders are barely supported. Would like a setting where folders don't open full screen. Also need an option to change folder icon.
Edit from 12/21: I love how this app could have been had it been maintained, but I think its pretty much dead in the water. 1. My keyboard does not work in Apus. I type, and 20 ess' will come out of one typed letter. I can't work with a launcher that jacks up my keyboard and other input/output. Can't type? Its then useless to me and a deal breaker. 2. There is no help when you ask for it. 3. There are a ton of ads - dealbreaker. 4. I love the themes, but a lot of them are broken links. No good.
Been using for about a year and it started fine (though it greedily downloaded many associated apps). Over time it steadily got more invasive. I had to turn everything off in app settings to make it bearable and even then had ads, call manager, lock screen, etc coming on. Now it took over my browser and texts. If I say I don't want it, don't turn it on! I'm uninstalling and not coming back.
