Ulasan untuk Boost for reddit
Simply the best Reddit app out there. I've tried all the ones I can find and I keep coming back to Boost. it has almost all the options you could need, good performance and a slick UI. my only request: could we get an option for swipe mode where comments are loaded and reachable by scroll? essentially swiping between detail views of posts. that would be the best view for me. other than that it's perfect.
This app is really great, it adds more to Reddit, though I'm new to the app and can't list all that many details, the ability to download GIFs and videos really adds and makes things easier, I recommend it. It's missing one thing however, the ability to scroll videos in a subreddit would really help in cases like trying to watch videos in a funny subreddit, or even an option to customize the video scrolling, like mixing subreddits, or switching between NSFW and SFW. Otherwise the app's worth it.
After using the official app for a while, I'm switched to Boost because of how much nicer the overall experience is. I like how it remembers which type of sort you used and how new comments are highlighted. Accessing multi reddits takes fewer taps. You can save searches. It also remembers where you left off in a thread if you revisit it. The only thing I miss is being able to give awards other than silver, gold, and platinum.
Although I've had problems with the app, I see that it isn't the developers fault so I'm changing my review to 5 stars. I think it's amazing(keep in mind, this is the only one I've tried)! You get to choose different accent colors for your buttons, you can choose between a variety of viewing types on your homescreen & best of all, you can change from the stupid new TikTok player to the original one. If you're tired of the official app, this client will probably be the perfect fit for you.
Served me extremely well over the past 4-5 years. In recent months, however, the "Trending Communities" sidebar seems to have stopped working, showing as blank (IGNORE THIS SIDEBAR COMMENT, REDDIT CHANGE NOT DEV'S). The app tends to crash when I'm scrolling down far into a sub, though that may be more my phone's memory issues(?). Regardless, probably the best way to browse Reddit on mobile.
Best Reddit app I've tried so far. Official app is awful, I had no idea how many better options there are. I have way less issues with videos and gifs loading correctly in this app than I did with rif. (Also you can adjust video speeds in the app! Super handy!) One little bone I have to pick is gifs in comments not showing until you tap the weird square they appear as. That may be more challenging to achieve on mobile than I realize though!
Decent app. I've used it for years and haven't had much of a major problem up until now. A bit of a forewarning before using this app, be sure not to uninstall the app. You can lose a lot of your saved/flaired searches that way. If you need to sign out of your account, make sure to go to your Subscriptions page and refresh the list once you sign back on. It will update your subscriptions to its most recent version. It doesn't do it automatically, so be aware of that.
I love Boost and have used it exclusively for quite some time now. I would recommend it as an excellent Reddit client. However, I just uninstalled it and will not be reinstalling it. With increasing frequency, the ads are being accidentally triggered when trying to back out of a post or article and opening the Amazon app on my phone. When I first back out of a post or article, I do not see the ad and only know that I've accidentally triggered it after my phone switches to the Amazon app to display a listing for whatever it is that may be advertised. This has happened with other ads as well, but I think I'm being served more Amazon ads than anything right now due to the frequency of the app opening. I love using Boost, but I'm going to shop around for a different client due to how annoying the ads are becoming.
