It would be much more convenient if there was a place in the app to submit a photo of the pass cover rather than having to mail it in after the trip. If this were the case more people would return their passcovers and Eurail/Interrail would have a better idea of how the passes are actually being used.

The idea is great but it still needs improvement, maybe not so much the app itself but rather the compatibility with the different European rail systems. As long as you cannot make mandatory reservations through Eurail but only physically at the actual train stations in the respective country (e.g. for some high speed trains in France) it defeats the purpose. How am I supposed to plan a trip if I don't know if and when I get on a train until I arrive at the train station?

I've used this for one full day of travel so far. Initially it worked great, but then one of my trains was cancelled. I think it would be very beneficial if this app were able to send you a notification if there were any issues with your train schedule. A second issue I've had is that it doesn't show all the possible routes. For example, I'm trying to get into Füssen or Hohenschwangau to visit some castles but those stations won't show up.

It's good because it easily lets you see all the trains and routes you can take. However, you can't login to an account to see routes and reservations you already have. Also, if you "add a journey" and then "Open My Trip", your journeys are not saved. There is very limited utility if you are trying to plan ahead of time for an extensive trip. I just took screenshots.

The app still needs improvement, wish we could make reservations from the search screen/ page. As it is now you have to go to more options and do your search all over. Also wish we could input a payment type just once and then be able use it for each reservation. It takes forever to reenter all the payment information each time.

Every time it says I need a reservation it says price unavailable. Don't waste your time buying the pass, it's a big waste of money. You'll spend more on reservation fees than the pass itself. Plus having to purchase full price for all the trains that are "unavailable". Edit: I am not trying to book last minute. I've been trying to book for months for a trip that is over 45 days away.

It more or less gets the job done. As long as you don't need reservations. And as long as you don't care that it doesn't list platform numbers. And the latest update even took away the train direction names, only leaving the numbers, which are not always displayed prominently or at all in stations. Also just has general stability issues and crashes pretty frequently. And sometimes demands I go online to show my pass even though it's been less than an hour since I've been online, not 3 days.

Misleading information.. the website isn't upfront about not being able to make reservations for certain stations. *update: reply to eurail Pricing Was never an issue. Issue came where the selling point of your website is how easy this pass would make your travels easier and more streamline. It isn't until you buy the pass and are actually trying to use the pass where it becomes unclear. No phone number to call. Emailing is pointless as they take too long to resopond.

The more I use it the worse it gets. Have used the new app extensively last 6 weeks. Over 60 trains. So far issues I have encountered 1) updates wipe out history and future travel plans. 2) missing stations and trains 3) no link to seat reservation system from planner 4) via option but no avoid option 4) algorithms that take you hours and miles out of the way from origin to destination. Build your own routes if more that two train changes. Developers clearly do not actually use the app.

This app is the most poorly designed app in the world. I NEVER write reviews but this app is so bad it caused me a lot of stress. This app tells you the exact train number but not the line/color its designated to making trains difficult to find. Seat reservations are a nightmare and costly. Going from London to Paris apparently isnt included so I ended up spending 200 euros. And the stations shown on the app aren't spelled correctly making navigating close to impossible. Extremely dissapointed.
