I bought this game expecting it to be gimmicky, but this is an honest-to-goodness console-quality game with depth, witty dialogue, and a decent storyline. Unfortunately, it's clearly not designed for a touch screen. The game incorporates a variety of different types of gameplay, and the controls range from okay to nearly unplayable. The fighting segment I just suffered through made me feel like I was just randomly hitting buttons and hoping the character did what I wanted.

Crashes at end of game. I'd like to rate the game 5 stars because of the concept, the gameply, and the story, but it crashes close to the end of the game, so I haven't been able to finish it. I contacted customer support and they promised to fix it, but it's been a long while now. [EDIT: they finally fixed it and I finished, so five stars---AWESOME!!!] The controls could also be improved.

The controls are absolutely miserable. It is genuinely amazing how bad the controls are. While tolerable in the early game, there comes a point where 99.9% of the game's difficulty is fighting with the controls. By which point it is far too late to get a refund. I do not believe the developers played their own mobile port. Past that, the story is simplistic and the world is extremely bare. Characters won't even change text for happenings around them. Nothing draws me in, not even nostalgia.

This game is an absolute disaster. The story and graphics are nice, but the controls and hit detection are among the worst I've ever experienced. I keep missing hits/messing up jumps/getting hit when there should be no issue. The movement "joypad" is barely responsive and keeps moving around the screen, making the controls even worse. These issues need to be smoothed out.

Very fun game but the controls definitely need some improvement it made certain challenges way more difficult than they should be, like that darn pac man one gah! I spent a half hour just trying to beat it those tiny buttons wouldn't register my taps. But overall the controls worked fine for like 80-90% of the game. The Game was challenging and really fun with an excellent plot and nice graphics. I give it a 7/10 I would definitely recommend trying it out

This was a fantastic game years ago, and I'm sure on older devices it still runs well. However, this game has never been truly updated for newer devices- the aspect ratio is stretched, showing tearing as on-screen elements move, the controls have input lag, the virtual dpad can't recognize precise change in direction input, and it is prone to all the original bugs from the first release. This game is limited by its age. While I do recommend playing it, I cannot recommend attempting to finish it.

Really great game. Imaginative and unique story telling. However I came across a few bugs. The biggest of which was horizontal black lines that would run across the screen while you were in retro 2D mode. But other than that it's been a very solid mobile port.

Exceptional plot and fun gameplay! Controls need work. The movement joystick moves anytime you tap the screen, so you're character doesn't respond as easily, and the action buttons could be either be bigger or closer to the edge of the screen. Love the mini games built into the story!

Haven't finished the game yet, but I can tell it needs controller support. This same control scheme made the first one difficult in mobile platforms. It's hard to have a game that requires such precise timing and movement with touch controls. It's not really suited to the platform but it does the best it can—which is actually pretty good. Varied visual styles and gameplay make the game feel fresh all of the way through, even if the story is generic and the dialogue is dry. Stick to Switch and PC

More story-driven than the original, and also contains more live-action platforming, which can be a problem with touch-screen controls. Overall, a solid sequel with much-expanded content and gameplay. EDIT: After playing several more hours: the on-screen, touch controls are really difficult to work with, especially during some of the more-action oriented mini-games. I believe a controller is required for this game, although it wasn't for the first one.
