I'd picked up French here and there over the years. The unstructured learning and limited vocabulary meant I had little confidence in my competence. But with this app, I was able to read and, with the help of the priceless 'click-and-define' function, actually understand the classic stories graded by difficulty. In a nutshell, this app puts joy into learning and delivers results. And their customer service is equally good: responsive, attentive and effective.

This is so fun!!! I love watching movies in different languages, but growing up could never do it with lack of tech and accessibility except threw the library. Now, you can learn Spanish from clips from various movies in Spanish and it teaches you in baby steps, but in a really fun way! I love this, way more engaging than Duolingo, and as a visual learner, I'm not going to forget what I learn from all the halarious & fun clips! Thank you so much for making this! Please make to learn french too!

I took a quiz prior to starting the lessons. It seems that no matter how many words you know, you still start with "hola" and the very basics. It feels like a waste of the free 7 day trial. I do like the visual and audio lessons, but I am still completing lessons for words/phrases that I already have learned. That's a little disappointing, especially since there was an assessment.

Although I am an intermediate Spanish speaker ( on the basis of several tests) even the beginner stories are too difficult. I have had to spend way too much time looking up word definitions to make the experience enjoyable. Also, the translations given by the app are not accurate. I am disappointed.

This app is great in idea but execution leaves much to be desired. I'm a beginner level and I had a few instances where simple greeting were mixed up (text reads "good afternoon" but audio pronunciation reads "good morning") if such basic mix-ups happen at low levels idk what kind of mistakes get through at more complicated levels. Also the library assortment is lacking for newbies. On a last note you will not be able to make adjustments to your subscription/cancel through the app.

Cool idea, execution needs work. The videos load sooo slowly. You can figure it out by the spacing before the video even loads. The audio when you click the speaker is slow, too. The UI isn't clear in the courses section. I love the library function. I wish it would show the last book you opened at the top of the screen.

Contents are good, the app is very slow. The app only works on my mobile data network. It stops working whenever I switch to my home wifi. I've reached out to support several times but they have no clue what's going on. Update: to support, in US there's cellphone network and there's home network( at home, uses cable network). I don't know how else to explain these things to you. Your app does not work over any cable network (any home internet), atleast for me.

Didn't tell me there wasn't a freebie mode until after I'd gone through a lengthy process of giving it info to choose which program I'd supposedly be on. This is predatory app style, aka a Dark Pattern (uses Sunk Cost fallacy, and wastes the time of anyone who's not going to subscribe). I'm actually surprised that it let me skip giving them my email before telling me that it's exclusively a paid subscription. I'd be happy with a few dozen older/classical books to read, but apparently not.

Scam. Dont tell you how much it costs (and its a lot) until after they make you sign up. What a waste of time. Edit: the answer from the developer is very disingenuous since the only interesting part of the app is the ability to read books in another language. The "free" but they mention is just a bunch of random vocabulary words. Worthless.

I paid for a year subscription and the app is not reflecting this at all. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app and every time I have to go through a sign up process and it does not save my progress. I also contacted support using the app but I have not heard from anyone. Also will be reporting the issue with Google. I would advise anyone to use another app.
