Just FYI everyone. I like this app, paying user for over a year, but if another app(s) suddenly stops working / connecting, then check GlassWire's firewall settings first!!! Otherwise you might end up chasing your tail... 🤦 Edit: Ok, it happened again, but was kinda self inflicted. If you try using GlassWire's live graph function it tells you to switch the firewall to "experimental", so I did. The live graph function is neat, but later on a different app couldn't connect. Switched back and ok.

I love this app, it allows me to control which Apps can run in the background and which ones I want to remain off my data stream. The only drawback is that I have to turn off the fire wall for certain apps that can detect the VPN. Other than that it is the best App to control how much data your device uses passively and I recommend it to my cellular customers all the time to help them control their data consumption.

The pc app is much better than the phone app. I wish it had something to trace where your packets go on the web but that is besides the point. Update... tracking wifi after update. I hope it does not break down again. If it does I hope for a fast fix. Haha.. my respect to the dev team. I like their work. I hope to see more improvements and development.

Functional app that does what it says it does. I set out to look for an app that could accurately keep track of my monthly data usage, and this app does just that. It's very clean and simple, giving a good overview of usage on a per app basis. A suggestion I would make is to declutter the notification shade by using a collapsed silent persistent notification. In it's current state, the app's notification doesn't contain a lot of information, and it seems like it is creating a lot of wasted space

Great software. As a refugee from Datally (which can no longer block apps from using mobile data, the entire point of these apps), Glasswire is an almost perfect replacement (although I prefer the "home page" design of Datally.) Yeah, blocking is a paid feature - but if it can prevent your monthly data from being consumed just once, it's already paid for itself.

App looks cool and the idea it's great. However, I'm not sure if it has the option to see individual connections created by an app. It would be amazing to be able to see and block connections for each app instead of blocking the whole app. Something similar to netstat, I almost purchase the $99 version of this app, but that keeps holding me back. Haven't tried windows version so I have to check that one too before purchasing.

DO NOT UPDATE TO 3.0 if already like the app! REAL-TIME BANDWIDTH notification is NO LONGER FREE, that basic feature is now behind a PAYWALL. It's listed under Key Features though. The overall interface has been over simplified and is LESS informative and useful. The usage summary is crammed into a tiny box in the corner, and there is NO REAL-TIME GRAPH like before. There is a free dark theme now, so kudos for that I guess. I reverted back to a previous version and will just use that instead.

Feature requests: 1. option to show (at the top status bar? which also shows battery and time) data going in and out through cellular and wifi. 2. to block apps when they are not in use (when we are not actively using them). For example I want to block the play store until I use it. Thanks for the great user intereface. I prefer a theme in black white and blue. Its much coooler. so if you need more colors you could add cyan and so on… (^v^) app needs to show what ip apps tried to connect to. thx

There are a lot of great uses for this app! I originally downloaded it for it's fabulous firewall service, and since then I've used it for more things than expected, and now just use it primarily to see if my apps are misbehaving and I need to check their settings again. It's a great app and I recommend it to anyone who needs to stop apps from automatically connecting to mobile or WiFi. I bought it and now I have ultimate control! A+

I've been using GlassWire since December 2019 and my experience with it has been incredible! The company's ad-free & tracking-free policy is a MAJOR plus for anyone with privacy concerns. The UI is very minimalistic and easy to navigate. Dark mode that is includes since update 3.0 is a very welcomed feature. Although, I am sadden to see the real-time data monitor leave, due to a problem with Android 10, I know the team behind this app will continue to develop it to the best it can be!
