VPN & Antivirus by Kaspersky

Has many useful features I wasn't even aware were necessary until I was. What it says it does, it does well. However, the VPN is useless since they monitor your traffic and enforce laws, thus completely eliminating the point of a VPN. I am law-abiding (except wanting stuff only available in other countries). My only gripe and reason I will not pay for Premium, and may even uninstall the app--they are trying to be yet another governing body constricting personal freedom.

I chose this service after considerable research showed it as one of the best. Unfortunately, it started an unscheduled scan that rendered my older device completely unusable at an extremely bad time. The "Stop Scan" button failed to work, and ultimately I had no other choice but to uninstall this app in the middle of that scan. I am extremely disappointed, and hope that this first impression is wrong.

This program does its job very well. This program does not go too far and totally take over the whole device. So far after 2 years it seems to be exceptionally on time and prompt preventing destructive viruses etc from creating damage. I'm happy with it for now. The main thing I dislike with all apps is advertising and minimal advertising I tolerate but when it gets to a certain point I just delete the app or program no matter how good it is.

One thing I do not appreciate with security apps is when they prevent you from adjusting their own permissions. I've just noticed that Kaspersky prevents you from changing any system level permissions in their app. In a sense, Kaspersky is acting like a virus by not allowing the administrator of the device to change anything, or even disable the service either permanently or temporarily without installing the app. I am now reconsidering using this app.

Best anti-virus I've seen. Doesn't deny you protection if you use the free version. I've had pop-ups to install this one sketchy VPN, as a pop-up would appear and tell me I had 6 viruses, and open the app store. I got it after I tried to download an apk for a childhood game of mine. An unnamed app would run, and the pop-up would appear, but I could never delete it. I tried 5 other anti-viruses but none of tjem detected the issue, other than this one, where it deleted it immediately and fixed it.

I know that my phone is hacked. Once Kaspersky is activated, they have problems trying to take over my phone. I believe that they use dummy apps that look like the original apps in place of the real once. They are undetected by apps like Kaspersky and it gives a false reading of what is happening with phone,computers etc. Kaspersky is one of the best. It gives hackers a run for their money. They change my passwords, in my apps,if they don't want me to see something they well remove the .

Sold on this app. Since first installing several yrs ago, not one virus has made it through this app's security & that includes malware (on cell or computer). The fact they send notices when new viruses are making the rounds &, if necessary, instruct you on further steps to take in order to secure your computer is much appreciated. Don't foresee switching to another security app anytime in the future.

Good default scanner and features that can be found anywhere . Only reason 3 stars is that it's web protection is only for web browser chrome. Any other browser is not supported. Which is dumb because a lot of the browsers are based off Chrome: chromium. So really it's just kaspersky being lazy and not pushing out compatibility for edge and Firefox and any other browser.

Lightweight and fast, with no annoyances (constant bugging you to install other apps, etc.) that competing products had. It didn't even bug me to buy a subscription when I used the free tier or the premium trial. Only issues are: fingerprint doesn't work in app lock, and the call filter is a simple blacklist.

Keep getting "issue" notices. Constantly have to give permissions (which i allow every time). Several times a day. It's quite annoying. And the endless reminer that the vpn is off is annoying as well. I have nord vpn for that. Otherwise I guess the app works. My s21 ultra hasn't burst into flames yet. 3 stars for now because so far this hasn't been a 'set it and forget it' app like it needs to be for a paid subscription
