I have played this game for 2 years now and I think the game play, visuals, music is fantastic. This game exceeds my expectations. Sometimes I feel like the game can be a bit laggy during matches, but nothing a quick bug fix can fix up. I would like to see more clarity when it comes to game altering negative effects. Often I find myself wondering why I have a red arrow next to my name without a stadium card in play. Much love. <3

i've been playing this game for years, since it was a PC only game and still love it! i was thrilled when they made a mobile version. the graphics are nice, controls are easy, it runs smoothly and best of all - this game is 100% FREE! no ads, no in app purchases and coins are very easy to earn. absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves pokemon, card games or both!!

This plays exactly like the desktop game and I can play it anywhere. No micro transactions and earning cards is easy enough. I only wish they would expand on the daily challenges to earn more coins/packs and keep them more vague/simple. And get rid of that level up system for the different types. Once you max it out,, it's just about earning coins and exp means nothing. New challenge examples: 'attach x number of energy cards' or 'use x number of supporter cards'.

I've been playing this game for 5 years on my Chromebook and I love it! There are a lot of updates and it takes time to build up your card inventory, but overall it's a wonderful game. If you really want to get familiar with ALL the different Pokemon and their attacks/abilities, this game can help. Gameplay is somewhat "assisted" so it's easy to use at any level.

Does a decent job of translating the game to mobile device. It handles pretty well. It has 3 main issues. Sometimes the text is a little tough to read. Also, it always need to load and reconnect to the servers. If I swap to a different app for more than 5 seconds or so it will need to reconnect. Also, when playing, there is so much wasted screen space. So much of the screen is taken up showing the table top which does nothing at all. It could be much better designed to better utilize space.

If you remember the 90s gameboy game, you'll like this. It's very competitive and seems to have a large userbase so it's never hard to find a match. You also can get A LOT of cards (including super rares) for free if you put in a little grind. In fact, to my knowledge there is no in-app purchases which actually saves me money 😅😅 Couldn't give 4 stars though because of the bugs and network error issues. Would also be nice to play against friends instead of random battles. Needs W:L stats too

This is an excellent way to play the card game. Everything works as it should, and the free to play model is pretty generous. The starter deck tournaments also allow you to be really competitive for very cheap. The only thing keeping it from a 5 star review is that the interface is not adjusted for mobile, so some of the UI is really small on my screen.

The matchmaking for custom decks can be frustrating as you'll often face an opponent with better cards. You also have to grind to get points if you don't wanna use real money to buy decks or booster packs. I did have an issue setting up my account initially, I had to try several times and did end up doing the tutorial twice. The mechanics are awesome, and in my experience the game always runs smoothly. I really enjoy it, and usually find myself playing 10-20 matches without realizing it.

the vs system makes no sense. just started the game build a deck. just to end up playing people in the vs battles that clearly have been playing for some time with decks that have cards that will take months to get if you grind it. how do you put new players in no win situations like that and expect them to keep playing. i figured this was a pay to win game. just you have to go out and buy packs irl to do so. really need to redo the vs system. needs a rank system for vs battles

should be 5 stars, was a great app, until they did maintenance on Sept. 17th. Now it crashes over 50% of the time, on all my devices. Hope they can fix this problem soon. lowerd it yet another star. still crashing, maybe even more often than it was a few days ago. Crashes more often on Chromebook for some reason. Please fix this. Used to be addicted to this game. Almost at the point of not playing anymore.
