Edit: The new version seems to recognise the code faster, at least based on a quick test. It works and also supports other codes similar to QR, like Data Matrix and regular bar codes. There's just two thing I'd still like: 1. A way to swipe previously recognized code off the screen. 2. When scanning a product barcode many apps give an option to open a database webpage of that product in a browser. I'd like that. For the record, this is the QR app I'm dedicated to use :)

This is, THE ONE. Look no further. I use this at work all the time to scan barcodes and this is the most responsive and clutter-free barcode reader on the play store. simple but works. I'd suggest that an additional option after the scan would be to automatically search. I have only scanned qr that are product codes so if the qr is a url it might pull that up automatically? as it is I copied the result using the copy button and pasted it into the browser. easy. I would suggest adding an alignment frame in the camera window as an overlay. it took me a few minutes to figure out the code needed to be straight in the camera frame

Like most of you, I have been through a lot of the "free" QR/Barcode scanners here. This is my last one unless something changes for the worse. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and what is advertised with no issues or ads. It does it for free for real unlike other "free" apps. Thank you!

Super-accurate, reliable, simple user interface. Can scan multiple, tiny QR codes at the same time, displaying all results at once. Codes do not need to be centered. Small footprint. No ads. No hijacking (some other QR apps do that). This is the QR Code Reader that I always use.

I used this as my QR reader of choice because it didn't have the glaring security hole of following links in codes automatically. The latest update defaults to auto-open links, and the way to revert to the safer option is by clicking the "crop" icon on the main screen which doesn't give any indication that this is what it does. However, I am adding 2 stats back on since the safer behavior is still available.

The error now says it's just not compatible and prompts me to uninstall. I've tried this on 3 different devices with very different hardware and different versions of Android: this app just doesn't work. The updated error message tells me to clear Google services cache, which, even after a restart after doing so, the app still has the same error. I've tried about 7 or 8 other QR apps and none of them ask me to clear any cache, and moreover.. they just work. Wonder what's going on with this one?

Wow! What a smooth and effective GUI! I’m impressed! Just as I was giving up thinking that QR scanners cannot be improved further any longer, I came across this gem. I love how simple and yet effective its design and implementation are. It’s different from the competition in important and meaningful ways (I have 5 others on my phone). It eliminates unnecessary clicks between the UI elements and gives you the results in the best way possible. Kudos to the programmer! Please keep it lean as it is.

Incredibly fast and easy to use, no need for the "peephole" some QR apps use, and have always gotten the right data anyway. The ability to get QR codes from your Gallery (which ties in to the feature of not having to fix the QR code in the middle) is awesome, and the history of scanned QR codes are just a cherry on top of an already great app.
