Interface is easy on the eyes; ads are unintrusive; sample rate goes up to 44,100 even without paying money. I don't even use it for the skip-silence feature--this is just the most pleasant voice recording app I've been able to find on the Play Store. (As a sound designer with unusual recording tastes, I wish the volume control were easier to access and use. But who am I to fault someone for making an app that's only almost perfect? This is humanity, after all.)

Been a beginner voice actor for roughly two years now, and this app is great for recording my experiences. My only issue is that audio has become lower quality and sort of buggy. This wasn't an issue three months ago, and I have no idea when it started. Please fix this, I'd love to use this app again!

Always good. No surprises. I am a newspaper publisher and reporter. I use the app to record interviews. I also record my own radio ads and social media messages. I can record, review over and over to get the one I want because it's so easy to stop, save, cancel, whatever. Then I send my finished recording to the radio station or put it on social media, with the "share" options. I couldn't do without this app!

This app is perfect for recording my thoughts and listening to them later. It would be cool if I could listen at 1.25x or 1.5x speed. Sometimes I upload t recordings to YouTube as well, but it's a complicated process that involves several apps. If I could save audio in a different format that would eliminate one of the steps. But overall I love this app. Edit: Have to change from 5 to 3 stars. I've missed important calls because the app doesn't respect the settings, even in states where legal.

Been using this for at least 3 years. 6mo ago, due to phone dying I lost some audios. Decided to spend $40 on an actual voice recorder from target... After a week of trying , I can tell you. It was a waste of $40. The basic conveniences of this app made using that device a frustrating chore at Best! This app isn't perfect but it's better than everything else I've tried this far.

Excellent quick recorder. I use this app on my Chromebook to quickly make notes for when I am studying. The sound quality is great. It's easy to rename a file. It is easy to download file onto my Chromebook as well. If you are using this app on a tablet or laptop I suggest making your recordings using a headset with a microphone. The speaker quality on these devices do not pick up sounds as well as using a microphone. I think there are ads but they are not intrusive at all.

I've been using smart recorder for a few years now. No complaints. The one thing I would change personally is adding categories for recordings as I use the app for so many different things (singing, journaling, notes for work, etc.). But other than that the app works perfectly and the Ads are not intrusive or disruptive in the least.

I used to love this app. I used it for years to record phone interviews. And then, it suddenly stopped working. This app was perfect; there's no other call recorder app that works nearly as well. But, without the ability to record phone calls, this app has become useless to me. Very disappointed.
