This has a beautiful approach to what I call portable astronomy. The visual presentation is both beautiful and peaceful, even the 'feel' has a way of gliding you to the view of an object, it's very unique. It is best on a tablet, visually. There are plenty of tools, some more obvious then others, but all work well! It's a great way to fly the among the stars!
It's a great app to learn about star locations and constellations and is an amazing educational tool. The only thing that kills my review is the absolute abundance of ads. I'm not the type to complain about this kind of thing, but the fact that an ad pops up after almost every other interaction with the app is just ridiculous. It would be great if you could tone down on the advertisement frequency, maybe every 2 minutes or so.
way too many ads. EVERY click opens up an ad with audio. I can't even get a feel of whether or not I want to upgrade to the paid version because the free version is too irritating to bother with. Any smart developer would give a trial period of the full version without ads, if even for only 24 hours, to allow the user to see the full potential. I'm quite willing to pay for an astronomy app but it won't be this one. After I finish this review I'm immediately uninstalling this app.
