Great app for free calling and texts. The ads are a pain sometimes but well worth the free phone service for sure. $1 later (a one time flat fee for the sim card) and I've got the same service I was paying $130 a month for T-mobile.. and the service is better most areas too. For an extra $10 I can get all the data I need for streaming music and wifi covers the rest.

For 2 years, I paid $9.99/month for ad free because I thought I had to, so as to text and make calls away from WiFi. Turns out, I don't have to pay for anything! However, in order to receive verification texts, I have to lock in my number for $4.99/year. I don't mind this at all. The ads are a little irritating, but not bad, and I've seen a lot worse. Amazing product!

I never realized what an invaluable app this is until I had to stay in a place with very little cell phone reception. That was very scary because my husband is disabled and the fear of not being able to connect with help in an emergency was overwhelming for him. Then I remembered I had the Text now app and the relief was enormous. and the calls are clear and rarely drop unless there's a disruption on the other end.

Ads everywhere and they will cut your call just to show an Ad. Some ads redirect to websites, on their own. Keeps asking me to buy this and buy that. Well I still haven't received the sim card I paid for last year. Text and calls sometimes don't come through. Constant "poor wifi connection", although I have high speed internet. All other devices and apps work fine. It's nice to have free calls and text, but it's not a very good app. I don't recommend it unless you have to have it.
