Ulasan untuk Today Weather:Data by NOAA/NWS
Refreshing to view, customizable to no end, change the order of the content you wish to scroll thru. Remove content you don't want to deal with. Pretty . . very pretty. I am an AccuWeather user but after using Today Weather for 10 min., I think I like it more. I don't understand the performance complaints I've read. I'm using this on a very underpowered Moto G Pure and it performs perfectly! I must emphasize that I don't like notifications or weather alerts intruding on my experience . . and they don't! If I had one wish, it would be to downsize or move the big fat ad that appears in the middle of all the beautiful weather info. Stick it in settings or somewhere else. It's a major distraction. Pay for it if I don't like the Ads? I have to say, the fee structure is whacked! I think most folks, if they pay for an app want to pay once and forget it!
One day in and so far I'm really liking this app. I was looking for something to replace Weather Underground since many of my favorite features were removed/put behind a paywall. The only thing that I wish was there is the ability to report if weather is different than what's displayed (like saying it is raining instead of just cloudy). But being able to choose a data source, having tons of detail in the persistent notification, and all the customizable features totally make up for that lack 😁
Love this app! Hunted it down after needing a replacement for Weather Underground's constant crashing. So glad I went looking! The minimalistic design is absolutely beautiful. The content is to-the-point and easy to read. The ability to chose your weather source is absolutely fantastic! Seriously, I think that's my favorite feature. I can still use Weather Underground's data even though their app constantly crashes. (or The Weather Channel or AccuWeather, or whatever else!) The only thing different I would like to see is the ability to rearrange the data in the app, putting the information cards I find most relevant to me closest to the top. As-is, the order of the cards is very well arranged, and I have very little complaint, but the ability to do so would be perfect.
One of the few weather apps that let you actually get rid of the things you don't want, AND arrange the elements you do want, in the order you want them. Except that turning off notifications and alerts, doesn't turn off all the notifications and alerts. They still hit you with some inside the app, that won't turn off.
Some problems seem fixed now. Launches faster. I don't like the little arrow wind indicators. Would love to be able to tap and hold on something like that and toggle it on or off. Also, some weather sources are missing now, like NOAA. I like to have sources that are more accurate for ocean and shoreline areas (like Gulf of Mexico).
Worthy replacement for WU and Dark Sky. I only switched over from Wunderground to Dark Sky a few months ago, but I came to appreciate it's minimalist UI. Today Weather maintains that clean, attractive UI that makes it easy to see what you need to see at a glance. Why only 4 stars? You can't customize the order of the features (only turn on/off), and the radar map doesn't show you the past, only current and a model of the near future. And I had to pay to find out that that radar is so limited.
Would be great if you guys can bring back the earth surface map. The one that shows the wind steering at different layers of the atmosphere. You had it before and it made your app special apart from the others. UPDATE: Never got a response about this. Any chance that reinstalling that feature is perhaps doable?
I like the customization options and features built in. The only thing stopping me from going all-in and buying the paid version is that the radar doesn't have a layer for severe weather alerts. If I could see watches and warnings mapped out, this would be my only weather app and would get five stars.
Works good on my phone, but the new layout on my tablet is terrible. Who thought two skinny columns side by side was a good idea? The pictures show a tablet screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, but there are no Android tablets with that screen. They're 16:10. That's much thinner. The pictures are deceiving. The screen is way more cramped. At least be honest about it. I downloaded the previous versions apk, installed that and disabled updates. Give me the option to turn the split screen off.
Before I start, I want to say older versions of this were perfect. This is my favorite weather app. Now the bad part. I loaded this current version on my Samsung Note 4 I think over the weekend and a couple days later (Tuesday) I noticed a severely drained battery. So I charged the battery to 80%, took it off the charger and noticed the battery draining before my eyes. It seemed about 1% a minute. This never happened before with any app. So I recharged and removed. During this drain, I noticed that the phone was warm -no not from the battery. I took a time/percent check and lost 5% in 14 minutes. Installing this app being the only recent change, I uninstalled it and the phone is cold as ice and sitting at 100% while I write this. Over 25 minutes. Uninstalling the app the phone is back to proper behavior. Unfortunately, this program will not function from an older archived version. It stalls while trying to add a city manually. Copy protection maybe? This is written for the purpose of FYI. Rating will be less than average for this version and the fact I cant manually install an older version. (Early version on my Note 3 is perfect.)
