Ulasan untuk TorqueScan (Torque OBD Plugin)
Been using torque pro for quite a few years. It has been indispensable in keeping my cars running.
Hoping to find a way to display my direct tpms sensor data on my 124 Spider. I saw a really negative review in which the person said they couldn't uninstall TorqueScan. I figure if they don't know how to remove an app from their phone, then the rest of their technical assessment of the app is likely driven by personal ignorance and lack of capability. I'd also suggest it's better to use with a tablet than a phone, but that's just to gain the comfort of more screen real estate to work with.
Without actually studying on what OBDII does and how interpret the data, ya this may seem useless. If you like easy buttons, this is useless. If math in general bothers you, this is useless. If you tinker with your ECU, this can help. Especially if using your phone to gather what responds back. Also, the version before this seems to work better for the PID Scanner option. IMO
The newest version did not fully work. The gm predefined pid list does not get any data. If I revert to the older plugin that came out in 2016. Then the gm predefined pids actually work. This is with Android 10. Even though I get a warning that it may not work. This is with the latest Torque pro.
Hi I am still unable to run torque scan again today and I still not get any kind reading back. I was wondering if this is still being used? Reason I ask is I was looking for a app for something else and briefly caught a glimpse of a app that was formerly known as torque scan. I am trying to find it again to double check in case torque scan was disabled/Updated and mine is not working. Thanks in advance Update Please disregard the part about other app I have found it and it was not for torque pro. So I still can not get torque scan to run. Tried on 3 different cars today and 2 different phones and my tablet. I did see torque pro for Windows so maybe I will give that a shot on my lappy. Ty
Hands down the most useless thing I've ever downloaded (even more useless than the airhorn app!) My poor car idled for 3.5 hours while this app sent literally every possible PID to the ECU and checked for a response. When it was done, I tried to share the results via google drive. Upload failed. Alternatively I tried to email the results to myself. Emails default to the developer and guess what? "Unable to attach file" error! YOU CAN NOT SAVE THE RESULTS! I hope you can read and remember raw HEX data because you surely will not be able to save your results! Also if you tap your phone screen while it is scanning, it will cancel the scan. Pros: I used this app before you did, so now you don't have to waste your time. Cons: No uninstall option. No possible way to locally save your results. No possible way to share your results on the internet. Takes over 3 hours to probe every possible extended PID, but this will depend on your device and OBD adapter capabilties, too. Absolutely no readily identifiable use for this app. Touching your phone will cancel and re-start your 3+ hour wait time. Doesn't offer a "0" stars rating option.
Seems sort of useless as there is no way to export or save the data. Sends a blank email only. No way to save it directly to the android device. You can display the results on your phone but it is cryptic at best and therefore not much value. As with the other torque apps, no documentation to speak of. Great ideas poorly implemented.
Runs the scan in a popup which can very easily be closed accidentally. if your finger touches your screen when you grab your phone, scanning cancels. Got a message or a call you need to respond to? boom. Doesn't let you pause and resume scanning. Total waste of time. Dev wants your money for the pro app, and one of the most crutial feature, though given as an addon is broken and doesn't bother to acknowledge and fix it..
I have torque pro and torque scan keeps telling me I need the latest version of torque pro. I have uninstalled both and reinstalled and still have the same issue. UPDATE: it seems the developer does not care a out this issue as there has been zero response from them. It seems the are a lot of people with this same issue. Torque scan worked at one time but not now.
Doesn't work. I paid for Torque Pro to load custom PIDs and use this scanner plugin. But it's outdated and doesn't work with modern android. It takes some gall to sell something that doesn't work. I hope the dev chokes on the $5 he stole from me. Reply to dev: Dev is a liar. My android 11 reports this will not work correctly because it is designed for an older version of android. And it doesn't work--permissions, the interface and API calls are all a decade out of date and will not work with a modern device.
