A smart, well thought-out, easy to use audio editor with built-in effects, and multiple options for saving. I used StereoMix Recorder (same developers) to capture audio from a video app on my phone. Then with WaveEditor I edited the audio (boost gain, trim unwanted audio, add fade) and re-saved the file all within a few minutes. • With such a great app I had to pay for the PRO version. Wow. Real bummer. I searched for highest rated recording apps for Chromebook and this was recommended. I conducted some really important interviews and the app told me it was saved and gave a location address. But when I looked for them there was no way to access them on my hard drive, google drive, or online. As I looked deeper there was not even a way to choose a storage location. Really a bummer for me and my professional life. Not sure why this app is rated so high. Worst i've found.

Excellent audio app, with nice live preview capabilities and some great features. It's more intuitive and easier to control than other comparable apps. It doesn't have a lot in the way of effects or filters but that is fine with me, it's great for basic sound engineering. I wish the graphic EQ had more bands (but the parametric more than makes up for it, I'm just being fussy.) Love it.

I find the WaveEditor app useful for recording audio off my PC, with excellent sound properties. My only complaint is that the microphone picks up external sounds while the USB line is recording as"line in." There may be a way to eliminate the microphone-and-line-in-recording-simultaneously problem, but if so, I have yet to discover it.

It said it could not import a simple MP3 from my downloads. I tried with two different files, and I had no issues in a different app with the same files. I was excited for this one being able to import a wider spectrum of files (and convert them), but it didn't even successfully import an MP3. Surely this is just a bug, but for now, 2 stars.

This app is good if you want to make quick edits of music files like mp3, flac, wav or any other kind. However, this app seriously needs an option to exclude file types. Like, I'm sick and tired of having to look for one file with many other different file types in it, especially mp4.

It isn't easy to make my notifications sound, anything I've recorded. I have sounds, which I've saved on my device, such as; wav, .mp3 & .mp4 which are the best files. I needed to CHG my saved sound recordings to MP4. Then it works on some sounds and not on others. That's when the different types of sound files that is most difficult.

The interface has to be memorized due to illogical structure. Easy to get lost and trapped without an exit. I fiddled with this for over a month. It has no error handling and often does not respond to input, giving no error feedback. Appears to be half baked. It has no instructions or help either, which would have been fine if the controls followed a logical layout. It could be that the light version is missing many features but this is not stated so we must assume, it is broken

Extremely powerful editor! If you are having problems with playback quality after editing, change your save format! I save all of mine in various 24/192 formats and everything is crystal clear, no issues at all. I would like a way to voluntarily forgo the "undo" button at any point in time, so my phone doesn't crash from losing too much memory. I guess I could just save it and reopen it, but I dont want to lose any quality.

Great app. Convenient for on the go recording and editing. I'm using it to record an audio book for myself. There's just one thing I'm stuck on. When I add a new recorded statement at the end of a current audio track, I like how I can just rerecord as many times as is necessary before I accept the new recording, but when I accept it, the cursor goes to the beginning of that newly recorded piece. In order to read 1-3 sentences at a time, I have to skip to the end in between each recording. That's an extra step for me that gets confusing and sometimes ruins the work I've done if I forget to do it before recording again. Is there a setting for automatically placing the cursor at the end of the track after each new recording? If not, could you please make one?
