It's pretty cool. Speech to text is very good. Sometimes texts don't go through or are received. WAZE works perfectly. Phone integration is very good, but it depends on the model phone. I would like the ability to add additional apps for the display. For example, MyRadar when driving in dangerous storm conditions is a must have. Getting better with each update for sure.

I love the idea and the functionality of Google maps, but I think that they need to redesign the layout to make it easier to get back to the home screen of the car.I also think they need to make some of the icons bigger and easier to interact with. I understand that this isn't really a part of the android auto program, but I wish my phone wouldn't always charge when I have it plugged in.Apart from everything I just mentioned, this is a pretty solid program and I 100% recommend this for everyone.

It's ok, a big improvement would be to continue to allow inputs from phone rather than total reliance on the vehicle screen. Too many "safety" restrictions there. Stuff you just can't do while in motion that needs be done, such as changing a destination. There is no accounting for the fact a passenger may be aboard to complete such items; or that it would be much safer to enter the changes on the phone than unplug the phone, make the changes, then plug it back in and restart Android auto

Not sure of its my car or my phone but it takes a while for the phone to sync. Sometimes it doesn't and I have to unplug the phone and plug it back in. Sometimes it automatically takes over the audio, even if I had it on radio the last time I drove. I also don't like that sometimes I can use Waze as my map app and then suddenly they'll just take that away. It's nice to be able to use my device this way but they sure have some kinks to work out.

Update.. I just got a new phone that has android auto built it and won't let me have the icon so I can open the app to control it. My car often has problems and I need to restart the app. Just disconnecting the phone from the car doesn't help. I want more control of the app and it's contents. ...Better than before but still needs work. I love that I have better access to the music but I miss not having my calendar available.

Had a good run. This was one of those apps that always seemed to be teetering on breaking, but somehow kept on plugging along. I was fearful of updates because from what I was seeing it often broke more than it fixed. For nearly two years, I have only had minimum issues. Well it appears the update from three days ago has broken my Android Auto. Nonstop freezing up since that update. Hopefully, there is a fix in the works.

Great. When it works. Pixel 6 latest phone should be flawless. I have heard of rumors of an in app option to test the cable. There needs to be more troubleshooting in the app if it's not going to be bulletproof especially with the newest Google phone and the cable that came with it.

I honestly hate this app. I drive a Subaru Crosstrek and this app takes forever to pickup and stays connected for about 5 minutes and then disconnects. The dealer said it was the app and not the ports in my car. I have bought several different cables Nothing makes a difference. It is the most annoying app I have ever used. It has been worse the last two months. I hope you can fix this app as I rely heavily on this.

Used to work great. With the exception of not having the ability to input from phone while connected. But now it doesn't work at all. It connects, disconnects, reconnects and so on like 50 times in a couple mins. I thought at first my cord was broken, but bought a new cord and still doing it. And as of today won't connect to my phone at all. Not sure what happened but completely worthless now.

For the last week, my phone would connect for a few seconds, then go to a blank black screen! I thought it was something wrong with my radio. However, the radio will play regular stations, but as soon as I connect my phone it starts acting up! I was hoping with this latest update it would correct it, however I was wrong! It's still doing the exact same thing! Please fix this! I drive a Chevy '21 Blazer.
