Works very well. Made some very discrete malware to test it and found all of the problems, but sometimes when i test something i make, it thinks its malware so it would be nice if there was a developer mode with the malware warning having an "install anyway" button. Also where the ads at i have been using the free version for 3 months without a single ad?

Avast is well know for being one of the top developers of antivirus applications through various platforms. This app has thought of every detail from device security to web browsing protection. It is comprehensive and well designed and also offers ad removal for a small nominal fee. I have had numerous apps that address device and web browsing security. I am very impressed with this one and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

BEST FREE SECURITY So glad I found this app Been using Lookout for past few yrs. Since it was pre-installed on my phone, I assumed it would do it's job properly... Oh, how wrong I was 2 personal info hacks & 1 frozen screen later, I decided it was time to find a new security app. Tested several out & most don't offer much - without paying for it. Although there are useful upgrades offered, the basic/free plan has all the tools I need to keep my phone safe & my info secure. Definitely recommend

Exactly the same as AVG. I suppose one bought the other. Identical. Nevertheless, it works great. Scans fast; Scanned my 128gb internal and 512gb external storage in about 1 min. Found some junk too. The task killer is useless as Android manages tasks very well itself; freed only 10mb. But we don't need task killers these days anyway. Overall, wonderful app. Used Avast for 15 years, never had 1 single virus since. Not one! 👍🏼

Only use the free version for now, hopefully can upgrade in future but has been very helpful. On my SmartNews app, there were some adds that seemed to cause me issues in my phone that digital secure didn't help with. Luckily ran across a tech article highly recommended Avast. Downloaded and phone issues taken care of. Notice some adds not visible in SmartNews now so is protecting from iffy adds. Also warned against app in Google play which later was listed as having mal-ware in tech article. 😀

I've been using this app for years, and I feel it's better than Lookout Mobile. I haven't had any issues of any kind, nor have I had an issue with running the app in the background while using a streaming service/app. I definitely recommend others to use Avast instead of Lookout.
