I've been using this app for several months with rarely any problems. Originally, I was only seeing phone numbers of callers but no names. Then I saw that I could allow it to see my list of contact. App hasn't used that much data. Only problem I see is that now I get alerted too often of minor delays. Don't know how to turn that off. I do get alerted of real traffic problems quicker than before I started using the app.

Works well as far as it's been used with the Dezl 780 primarily for traffic. Wish it could auto connect with any registered phone in range instead of having to manually change phone connections; auto reconnection to same paired phone is seamless. Traffic reports are generally accurate & quick to update, but will occasionally misread lane closures/construction as a full road closure & try to route around which is unnecessary. Considering the cost of these units, I think "advanced weather" functionality should be free like it is on Rand McNally devices; basic weather reports accurately anyhow. Most irritating is the constant "access permission" request notification on every device connection event & multiple times thereafter if you don't connect. I don't pair my phone through unit so have no need to connect to phone contacts.

Seems to work to connect my 2597 to my phone, it has no trouble dialing numbers and making some requests. But, I have two major issues. 1: I use my phone in landscape mode while driving, to display auto gauges and a digital dash. Trying to use this app at 90 degrees is a royal pain. 2: I've gotten warnings and bad weather alerts for areas that aren't within 100 miles of where I am or where I'm headed. The weather info is pretty useless.

Good for Bluetooth integration with phone, including text messages. Weather also nice. Traffic reports have not been helpful. Notified of conditions that are too far away and never materialize. Disappointed that LiveTrack doesn't work due to "Consent" issue. Contacted Garmin support twice and neither rep was familiar with the issue, however, previous app reviews note the problem months ago.

mediocre at best. it makes finding an address outside 50 miles a real pain. the lack of finding an address really takes away the usefulness of this app. but, when you have the address nearby, it works great. i.d like to see the "search nearby" in the UI and functionality changed to "Search address(es)". this way it makes "SmartLink" more functional. my rating will change when this feature is changed.

This blasted app is trying to connect to every Bluetooth signal I get around. My Garmin is OFF, OFF, OFF and it still tries to connect to it. it also tries to connect to my Bluetooth earbuds, my cars Bluetooth, my desktop and everything. They must of made a change to the app, I didn't have this issue with my S7 Edge. I can't turn off my Bluetooth on my phone, then my smartwatch won't work. I do like the traffic feature, though. It saved me an hour on a trip I made by bypassing the traffic.

Everytime I have this opened and connected to GPS, it literally locks up my go's for 30 seconds to 2 mins. Hasn't had an update since maybe 2 phones ago. UPDATE YOUR APP!!!!! or don't advertise it as live traffic updates because when it connects, it locks up constantly!!! And because of the lock ups, I rarely use it and can't utilize its best feature the live updates. When people have free alternatives, better make sure yiu have a good and up to date product. 2 and a half years and no update!!!!

Dreadful features. Inputting an address is basically useless. Used to be able to enter an address and have it sent to the GPS, but that was long ago and there hasn't been any improvement in at least compensating for the loss of the Google API. Even entering an entire city name brings back a "No matches found" error message. But at least i can find out what Foursquare thinks about a rest area bathroom!

For the second time in five months, my phone alerted me that my storage space was running out. After poking around the file system and not finding anything unexpected, I checked the apps list in Settings and, sure enough, this app had 20+GB of "user data" stored somewhere I can't see it without root access. EDIT a month later, I'm uninstalling this after my phone ran out of space for a third time. This is completely ridiculous. *What is it storing??*
