Facebook Messenger Lite

Recently, this app has taken to replacing photos with a text bubble that lists a file name for the photo. I can no longer see photos I've sent or that others have sent to me. I just updated the app a few days ago and the problem has persisted. Given that I primarily use this app to advertise artwork for side jobs and selling items, this makes the app very difficult to work with. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks

I haven't been liking the messenger lite app lately, because here lately when people send me videos I can't get no sound from the video on my phone. I don't understand it. I updated the messenger lite app and I started hearing sound for a little while, but eventually it went back to no sound. I wish some kind of way the sound would come back on the videos.

Better than the full Messenger, but it's missing a lot of things, so it's not a perfect alternative. I understand they wanted it to be cut back, because it is "Lite" for a reason, but I think they went too far in some cases (can't tag friends in group chats, pictures don't load automatically). Not only that, but features they do have barely work at times. Phone calls don't support Bluetooth for some reason, pictures will stop loading completely after a while of having the app open, eventually profile pictures will all be blank and won't load properly until restarting the app, etc. Pretty disappointed with all Facebook apps.

Useful. I like that it doesn't have too many features like the traditional Facebook Messenger. It's light and runs fast. Video calls are pretty smooth and messages send great. Saves data and space. One complaint. Not really important but I guess just annoys me. If you or a friend changes their profile picture it doesn't always show it's changed on the app. Kinda irritating. Especially when it's yours.

This app is quite good. But it has some issues. Like you can't I record voice message more than 5 Seconds it would be great to have it extended like 30 seconds. And also uploading and downloading photo is a big problem with the app. It takes so much time to upload and download a photo. It would be a great app if you guys consider fixing this issues. Thank you very much.

The app works fine. It does have the bare necessities and is great if saving data or memory is needed. Basic and functional just isn't the same. It's lacking options I am used to and too fond of. Videos won't download. Most of the stickers are unavailable and not easy to find in the search. The extras that are missing aren't worth the data or the space for the full app experience, at least not in this case.

It still has a problem with sending videos! If your video is more than 90 seconds long, it's hit or miss whether it will send. It doesn't show an error, the loading spinner continues for minutes and that's your sign that the video won't send. There's no way I know of to retrieve the unsent video. If the app doesn't send more than 90 seconds, I can deal with that, but this behavior is very frustrating. EDIT: Now it's not sending videos at all! Latest version.

I use this in order to avoid the bloat of the main app. However, recently it seems that pictures in messages don't appear, instead only showing a file name. When you click it, it asks to download, but confirming does nothing. I'm entirely unable to see pictures now, which only bugs my friends using the full messenger app further. Not being able to see reactions is also a PITA. I'd love to migrate off Facebook entirely if I were able.
