well when it works its fun, however, I can't count how many games I've been kicked from to play a ad. Once you lose connection thats it, no way to find that person or challenge them again. If you have Facebook friends that play chess then this is a good app. I hate the star system aswell, there needs to be a pay version that gets rid of ads, the best thing I can say is it's cool that you can pay vs anyone in the world, it even shows their little flag, HOW CUTE !!!!!

The developers haven't updated this app in a long time. Now the game is crashing every time you find someone to play against. You can't play a whole game. I gave it 2 stars because it has great potential to be the best chess app. Literally. The layout is great, the stars you need to play a game is free and easy. Almost 0 ads. Nice graphics... But it's totally garbage if can't play a game without the app crashing. I need to delete it. It's useless.

I would say the app overall is decent, I don't like that I need stars to play a game and I've also had issues where I would be in the middle of a match when an ad would pop up and after I would close it out the match would he gone. After these incidents they aren't recorded as a win or loss. As if the match never happened. I also feel there should be more themes. Other than the problems listed, the app runs smoothly, has correct mechanics, and is easy to find opponents.

The online play is laggy, then it cuts you out of the middle of the game for an ad to bring you back to the main screen and can not return to the previous game before. Taking your stars for nothing basically. One more incident happen, as soon as I started a match it move my pawn for me and i lost that match. Other than that good graphics and I LOVE the challenges.

I'm okay with ads, don't get me wrong I like playing for free, but I hate getting kicked out of a match because it wants me to watch an ad, and then counting that as a match I lost. My record would be MUCH higher had I not been kicked out of matches just to watch an ad. Not to mention it makes me have to watch another 3 ads to get stars to play. Summary: it's free, and fun when it works, but very glitchy and will probably screw you over.

Looks good but have a few issues with it. First off when someone challenges a rematch and I accept, it doesnt start right away It pulls me out of other matches, wasting my stars ten minutes later. Im not sure if it keeps track of wins/loses in this game but id be pissed if that countes. That and random ads kicking me out of games. Its happened multiple times now. Since you have to watch ads to play more then once every 30 minutes. Each ad is one game!!! These problems are huge and should be fixed

When the app is working correctly, it's an awesome international online chess platform. However, here recently chess matches will suddenly go to commercial and close the game out and reopen to the main menu. Once this occurs, there's no way to find the player you were playing or recover the game. Super bummer when there's an intense match occurring. I've searched for a fee to pay to rid app of those interrupting commercials but I've found nothing. Sad because I love the platform, user friendly.

Way too many glitches! Sometimes it moves my pieces for me. Other times it won't let me move at all and it times out, letting the other person win, and other times it just quits in the middle of the game and goes back to the home screen, making me lose. Fix the glitches and then maybe I'll play again. Uninstalled.

I really liked this app alot, it had some good features other didn't have like tutorial mode and the endings challenge. The online aspect has always had troubles however with lagging and disconnecting. For the last few days, the app won't even open anymore, which is the last straw for me. I hope the developers fix whatever technical issues are plaguing this app, because otherwise I think it would be the best online chess game on the app store.

The game was fine in the beginning and then whenever I was a few moves into the match, a ad would pop up and disconnect me from the game and I lose my star I used to enter the game. This happened more than 4 times in a row. There is no ranking system, its just a random player vs you. Def would not recommend.
