Easy to set up, no perceptible slowdown in speeds for my uses. (Browsing, streaming music and videos, but am not a gamer, so can't offer opinion there.) On rare occasions will interfere with use of a web site or app and I have to disable it temporarily-- eg, editing Wikipedia or some but not all functions of Google Earth-- but that's only a minor inconvenience and not a deal-breaker. Have recommended it to friends and would do so again.

It has already helped me in two great ways. In reference to my Amazon account being locked out because they did not like the fact they could not track or read mail. Secondly , my cell phone carrier stated they wanted me to deactivate the VPN because that was the problem I could not do certain things because they could not track or read messages. I said NO! So what does this tell you? TunnelBear is Great!!!

I've been using TunnelBear as my VPN for two-three weeks now and it's been great. The program is equally simple and straight-forward kn Android and PC. There's no clutter or confusing menus to dig through, it's set up to work properly from the start. Their pricing is also great. There is a free-tier for those that may not need a VPN full-time, beyond that prices are reasonable. TunnelBear is definitely worth a look.

Doesn't always connect automatically even when my settings are configured for it. I sometimes get a message that it cannot connect to the server even though l can get to other websites with the browser. Also it will reset settings at random so I have to check it every time I long on to public wifi. However when it is on it works great, which is most of the time.

Seems to work well once setup. The initial connection attempt took a bit longer than expected and I wasnt sure if it was going to suceed. Following connection atrempts were fast. Also, I subscribed for the monthly service but the app didnt recognize that without restarting my phone. No issues otherwise, and would recommend to others.

Loved it at first but kinda annoying now. Used to be able to press the button to access VPN with no issue but now its random. I go to the app and all the countries disappear and have to wait 5-10 minutes or restart my phone. Its getting annoying. I will say that it's only happening on my phone, not tablet but I use my phone a lot more to go online.

It would be 5 stars...except Netflix knows and will not play the movie in the area that you VPN to. It does show the movie on the list for the area of the VPN tunnel end point. I assume the movie list request comes out the VPN end but the streaming end does not. Also, I like to see more options for tunnel end points, not just counties. I like to see a list of more populated cities. Otherwise, good app and it does the basic stiff. My two cents.

I've used this VPN for months, a few days ago I renewed my subscription and have been locked out since then. I'm briefly signed in and immediately the screen switches to "free" status and with 0 data. I have deleted, reinstalled and there's no app permission request so I can't allow permission. I'm no tech and "help" has yielded no actual assistance, it suggests allowing the app in permissions. Pretty annoying, I'm sure there's a fix though, help me out and I'll put my rating back to 5 stars.

Really buggy. It works well... when it works. I hand the unlimited monthly subscription. But every few days, it prompts me to upgrade. So I have to go through the hassle of going into the play store and repurchase it in order for it to recognize my subscription - even though it's listed as current in my Google play subscription list. And of course, there's zero customer support. I'm looking for alternatives of anyone has a suggestion.
