Ulasan untuk Private Encrypted Email Tuta
After learning of the ties Protonmail has to the UN, I decided to switch to a more trustworthy service. I'm giving Tutanota a spin and so far I like it a lot. Very fast, light and minimalist. The app seems nice so far. My suggestions thus far would be 1) get rid of the small edit buttons on the settings screens, and let me click on the form fields themselves. Easier and cleaner. 2) let me make the compose window wider on the desktop version, too narrow on high res display So far so good!
Ever since the DDoS attacks on Tutanota, my app no longer works. I keep getting notifications but everytime I click on it I get a message saying I'm offline and cannot connect to the server, even though I'm connected and all of my other apps are working. I can only signing on via a browser or on a pc. Update: Thanks. I can connect if using a vpn connection. Don't know why my ISP decided to block it all of sudden, but thanks again for your help.
I've been using this email service for over a year now, and it's been great. Tutanota is a bit feature-slim, so don't expect it to be quite as snazzy as Gmail or Outlook, but they have enough to not make me really miss those extra features. Their premium plan is very affordable as well, and it means a lot to have my email data be private in a world where my personal info is being monetized more and more. I absolutely recommend Tutanota.
One out of the best most important e-mail systems that is easy to use. If it can be somewhat usable while offline, like Gmail, it will be very much in demand. I like its black background or dark mode, its message adjustment between Confidential and Unlocked, and the fact that it is free with at least 500 MB of storage.
I decided to begin the migration away from big tech systems that have zero regard for privacy. I think Tutanota is the right product for me. As stated in other reviews, the app is slim on some bells and whistles, but at it's core it's a solid application that provides great security and service. I have had zero issues with the service itself. Also, in the short time I've been a customer of their highly affordable premium plan, they have added at least 6 releases. I expect them to continue great development as the product progresses. This is highly worth it!
So far I really like this email service, however there are a few things i would change, particularly about the UI. 1. Animations feel too sluggish. Transitions take too long and could use easing 2. The way things are organized is unintuitive. I would only have one main drop down menu, and put everything under that in categories. Settings, for example, creates another drop down on the left where one would think the exit would be. 3. Theming! (edit:I meant custom themes but I wasRunningOutOfSpace)
*Update I was finally able to sign up and have been using it for a few months now. It works well and I like knowing my emails are far more secure than before. I like that there is an encrypted calendar and switching over was fairly easy. There are a few things I would like to see that are available in other email/calendar platforms that would almost certainly move this to a five star app. In line conversations in emails, more field options in contacts, and customized repeats in calendars.
A little sluggish and a little non-intuitive when deleting emails. Nonetheless, it has almost all the capabilities as the desktop browser equivalent. My issues are with the notification service. I will sometimes get push notifications for new emails, even after I open and read the emails. Doesn't matter if I rad them via the app or desktop site. Also, I am not a fan of the way emails are viewed. There is no zoom capability and the way it goes to the next email after deleting an email. Otherwise, this is still a great alternative to most email providers.
I've been reporting for a few weeks now that the Notification Service is still sticking on my Android phone. Until a few weeks ago I never had a problem...had never seen Notification Service running on my device. But now it shows constantly and never actually reports the arrival of new mail. I've been using Tuta for over a year but unless the fix comes soon I may not be much longer. Update: After uninstalling the app, then rebooting my phone, then reinstalling the app it seems to now be working!
Has potential. Love the idea. However, I have not been able to receive alarms/notifications which means the calendar is not so useful. Even with battery optimization turned off, on android 9, it does not work. I also downloaded the desktop client and never received notifications. Seems to be some issues with setting alarms as well. I understand that in the past there was the ability to import contacts. I believe that said that it was a bug and they were repairing the problem. I have been checking for weeks and there has been no change. Many people would love to get away from google, Hotmail/outlook, and others, but are not going to want to enter contacts manually. I was considering the premium service, but there needs to be a response to something as critical as a problem importing contacts. Therefore, without a calendar with alarm/notifications, and no simple way to import contacts, I have uninstalled the desktop and Mobile app. You have great ideas, it just needs work. Good Luck.
