ZRX: Zombies Run + Marvel Move

I've had this app for about a month and it's great. Tons of missions that have surprisingly good voice acting. It's kind of like an audio-book mixed with a running app. Great at keeping me motivated to keep running while distracting me from the boredom of running. Tons of configuration so that you can use it how you like no matter your speed and works perfectly with external music players like Pandora.

I find the building a base portion of this game to be a good motivator to run: however, the zombie chase mode did the opposite of what I think it was intended to do (in my case). I ended up not wanting to run so that I could save my energy in the event there was a zombie chase. Creative idea, just maybe not for everyone.

Omg, this is the best app ever!! It gets me out of the house to exersise like nothing else. The missions are so good and dramatic and really pull you in. Sometimes I can't help but gasp or exclaim outloud at some twist. It's a great price for the first level of the club. Literally my only complaint is that I wish you could do the optional races without having to pay for the medal. I'd still pay for the extra missions, but I don't need physical objects.

I dont like how everytime the talking ends, my music stops and when I go back into my music app, the song I was listening to has been shut down and because of that I have to listen to a song I dont like as much. Very very very aggravating!! Also, there is too much talking and advertisements. I dont like to listen to ads at all in other apps why would I like this one? Also, the ads are over 3 million utes long such as the one today for their Halloween race. If I want to do the race I'll do it but its NOT a motivator to run while listening to an ad. In fact it's the opposite. What I do like is getting supplies to build up the base solely from running alone. That's a GREAT motivator!!! It's also why I'm still keeping the app at all. I hope to get more into the story to look forward to all the missions. Which is a great possibility that I will, and that will be another good motivator!

So I love this app and I pay for it but I havr to take a star off. For some reason, whenever I close the app and navigate to anything else (like music, podcasts, camera, etc) it stops tracking my progress and i have to restart the mission. It seems like it can't run properly in the background while other apps are running which is a big flaw, especially since I like to use this while hiking and also want to take photos.

Pretty cool concept, but at the end of the day, you're still just running except that you have something laying out how far or for how long you should run. Also, I would have given this one more star if not for the charging for premium. I can't stand monthly charges, especially for an app. You should have one flat-out charge forever to upgrade to Pro, and then have different add ons that we can purchase so that we can customize what we get and not have to choose between paying a fairly large amount for a year of access to an app for craps sake, or a monthly charge. And the monthly charge may not seem like much, but monthly charges at up which is why I would prefer just one flat-out fee far lower than the one-year fee that is suggested and for it to never repeat again.

I was really looking forward to this since I love playing games and thought this would be an inspiring way to get some walking in every day. Note that I said walking. I'm not a runner. But this said that walkers can use it. And I can, but I guess what I was expecting was more chases. something that made me feel like I was playing the game the whole time. What you really end up with is a little radio play that breaks into your music every once in awhile. it's interesting, but not as interactive as I expected it to be. I guess I was looking for more magic, LOL! But I like the way that it tracks you and I appreciate the unique vibe that it gives to a walk. I will say that the chases are definitely geared toward runners. I only have experienced two or three chases and have actually gone through six or seven chapters of this show. I thought there would be a couple of chases per walk. But I can NEVER outrun the zombies. I think they want me to start running, but I am not able to do that. So it is disappointing because even though I pick up my pace a lot, I always lose the chase. :( So they are not taking into consideration the speed that I have been walking prior to the chase, and that is disappointing. I also have found that I need to adjust the timing of each chapter to last about 20-30 minutes. Otherwise they don't break in as often as I like. I still recommend the app, but don't expect more than a little diversion during your run. Maybe the atmosphere will stay better if you set up a special playlist of eerie, ominous zombie music 🤣 Because the music on my walking playlist kind of takes me out of the theme ;)

Awesome App. Funny adventures while running. Wish there was a bit more of a purpose to the little settlement build than just setting up for display. I am having issues with the app when I finish a run. The app continues to record, but I can't find the recording inside the app to finish the run. I have to pause it and then restart my phone to get it to stop notifying me. I'm on a Galaxy S10. If this were fixed, I'd have no issue with a 5 star rating.

My favorite running app but... I like it for the entertainment. While the app is much less glitchy for legacy users than before, the distance is way off. I can walk slowly and it will say that I have done a mile every 6 minutes, when I have walked maybe half a mile or less. However, I do love the incentive to run when I have the Zombie chases on, it gets me going and has helped to make much progress.
