Why do I have to agree to Simplified View each time? This is cumbersome. PLEASE make dark mode or Simplified View permanent or give us a toggle in settings so we can get it each time. It is LABORIOUS to agree to it for each article. Just make it a permanent option. It is tiring to make a decision each time Either we do or we don't. Make it a one time decision please. UGH! Thanks for responding! Means alot. I will. Keep it simple but dark mode is easier on the eyes!

Used to be good, but now having issues. Sometimes, when scrolling down the list of news headlines, my phone completely crashes and reboots. Not just the app, the entire phone! Also, the widget doesn't work anymore. It's just blank. Already tried removing it and adding it back. Weird.

Miss the ease of use of the old Google News and Weather App. The old app was thoughtfully designed with the end user in mind. One of the options/settings that made the old Google News and Weather app far more superb was the Dark Theme and settings for those who have sight/color problems. This new one drains battery quick, and does not have any features to help end users. Update 2022: it got worse...the app keeps suggesting things that I asked to stop showing! !!

I hate that if I play a video in an article and then rotate my phone to landscape to watch the video I lose the video and the article starts from the top again. It's been like this for a long time. I can't believe Google thinks this is ok or normal?? I wish there was an option so when I click on an article it would just open in my default browser.

Why no option to adjust the text size? Sometimes the font is so small, I end up opening the original web page because my old eyes cant read the small font. The in-app help claims that there is a way to adjust the font size in settings, but if it's there, I couldn't find it. And for petes sake, lay off the intrusive ads!
