A Google user

I avoid most of the user interface functionality; I have no use for it. However I use it daily via Box Sync. Since Box Sync works so well, I assume the API is good enough. I have no complaints, so this must be a good, reliable, and usable Network File Server. However, it is aimed at commercial users and thus, expensive and provides storage in huge chunks. In this regard I prefer Google's Drive.

Great managment app. All the usual features and more! I haven't tried the new direct record to storage feature but it looks very promising. Also I love that the folder's total size is displayed! That's a unique feature in my experience. I wish other online storages would pick up on that feature. Overall a fantastic App.

As a phone app it functions great! Photo previews are not high quality in the app, but if you download your high quality pictures from box they will still be high quality. On a chromebook, I wish the format would change slightly, because it still functions as if you are using it on a phone-sized screen. For instance, when viewing files in a list the photo's on the side are so small it is hard to tell which picture is which.

Very underrated cloud service. Very intuitive design. Absolutely no complaints on modern Android devices and better performance than OneDrive or Google Drive. However, it isn't compatible with older Android devices. If the app supported older versions of Android, even with limited functionality, it would significantly improve household connectivity.

USING TIP: Box gets stuck on uploading overload at around 4 or 5 items.. Not at once, in a row. To help this, at first lag of more than 20 or 30 seconds stop that upload (the tiny x in active loading), stop Box, and wait a few minutes. When you go back Box will quickly load again. Don't even try to upload several pix at once. It's a good enough app.. a little hard to get used to.. thus the 4 stars, but this is for an older version, since I've found in general I am Never happy I updated Any app.

It does what it says it will. The problem i have is not huge but annoying. It's supposed to help organize files and folders yet doesn't have a duplicates function and if a picture (for example) is renamed, compressed or the date of last modification is changed, then it may be uploaded again no problem. The other issue is when anything with a transparent background is uploaded to Box there's no way to tell it apart from a white background; even if the image is opened it's still just white.

Was so promising at first. It has issues opening and creating word documents stating that it can't open this kind of document (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't). This is unacceptable, I do a lot of writing with word. This issue has made me not want to use this app. It seems to be only a mobile phone issue. Being on the run as much as I am it's important to put down ideas on the fly. Do better.

Used to love it until I started using the Box Notes function. Stil like having the Box Notes but it provides too limited functionality, such as no undo and no text color change. Will be great to have the features available in Desktop version of Box Notes, which are already quite limited. My team might stop using this Box Notes and use Google Docs or something like that with more features.

Clawed Beast

Don't bother trying to type notes into this version anymore. The text editor is now completely borked. It keeps moving your position in the document around so you end up typing in random places, adds extra empty lines on the bottom of your document, etc. You can only ever type for a couple seconds now before it does something else. If you don't have a fully prepared document you have no intention of editing you just might be fine. It wasn't a problem before, but now it's relentless.

This app is used through my university. It is JUNK. it might be good for Personal use but not for professors to upload lectures. All last semester and now this summer I cant see a single upload from my professor. Luckily I watch him live. I have also contacted the schools IT and watched box tutorials. Update: 3rd semester, same opinion on box. Constantly cuts the visual off for my math class, still plays the audio. Have to refresh. My laptop is new. I can play them at least.
